FAQs – DIN eKYC Filing

DIN KYC is filed online on the MCA portal using DIR-3 KYC or DIR-3 KYC Web. Verify details via OTP on email and mobile, attach documents, sign with DSC (if required), and submit.

There’s no government filing fee before the due date. If filed after the deadline, the MCA charges a late fee or penalty of ₹5,000 to reactivate the DIN.

All individuals who have a Director Identification Number (DIN) must do DIN KYC every year.

The last date to file DIN KYC for the year 2026 is 30th September 2026. All individuals holding a DIN must complete KYC on or before this date to keep the DIN active and avoid a late fee of ₹5,000 and deactivation.

You can check your DIN KYC status by visiting the MCA portal, going to MCA Services → DIN Services → Verify DIN, entering your DIN, and viewing the KYC status shown on the screen.
